The Universe as a Symbol
The universe is a symbol.
The physical world in which we inhabit is simply a symbol - an idea, a tangible representation of the world in which we truly reside. This realm was created so that Spirit could experience separation and explore a much denser state of Being. An opportunity for pure, undifferentiated potential to get to know itself through experience.
One such symbol that has always aggravated me is that of society - particularly capitalist society. Once, I questioned how and why the world could be run by an entourage of apathetic (if not sadistic) psychopaths. I questioned how humanity allowed itself to become practically enslaved by a small group of the elites. I demanded answers for why the planet and its beautiful children suffer at our own hands.
Many of us have struggled with this peril and many have felt driven to make some sort of change in the world. This is where the discrepancy arises. A strong desire to change the world, the external, distracts one from the true mission at hand - adjusting, improving, and changing the self, for the world itself is just a symbol of our collective unconscious.
By now, most of us are aware that our lives reflect our state of mind. When you are in a good mood, things tend to fall into place easily; when you're in a bad mood, the opposite is true. This is the most basic and bastardized understanding of the Law of Attraction, but it provides a good framework for which one can remember that our lives our a symbolic reflection of our state of mind.
Life arranges itself in a manner according to the will and thought of that which is living.
So, thinking about the current state of life on Earth, one might naturally feel uncomfortable when they consider the damaged, traumatized and imbalanced state that the collective unconscious must be in to create such a chaotic reality.
This is why it's more important for us to help eachother instead of try to take down the system. The system's not going anywhere. It's been on the perpetual verge of collapse for literal eons, and the reasoning for this is because the collective has not changed much over the years.
Many of us feel trapped, many of us feel damaged, many of us feel afraid. Of course, this leads to the creation of a reality that reflects these ideals.
It was only a couple centuries ago that people lived in the constant Fear of God. Entire lives were led in fear of some judgmental, bearded creep in the sky who allegedly spent his infinite lifetime sentencing people to an eternity of hellfire. Sadly, with that fear came the reality of the time: the Inquisition had the power to break down anyone's house and kill them on a whim.
We're less scared now, but fear still looms on the horizon. The cabal, the powers that be, are fully aware of this. I'm sure you've pondered why the news only ever seems to show us negative stories. It's not like nothing good happens. There's tons of awesome shit happening all over the world every day that's not getting reported.
The reason that we're told these terrifying stories and shown these violent images is because the elite can't control us unless we give them the power to. Consciously or subconsciously, it doesn't matter - they're trying to plant the Seed of Fear, and once they have planted that seed, you're the one that waters.
But again, this is all a symbol. There is nothing but what we have created. As a species, we are afraid. But we don't have to be. We don't have to watch the news. We don't have to fill our brains with horror and fear. We don't have to be conditioned into a belief that following grisly, horrifying news stories somehow makes us more aware.
Fear exists because we let it exist, and it's not going to disappear if we attack it. Attacking it means that we believe that it's real. It's not, but it'll try damn hard to get you to believe that it is. Fear not, however - just like fear can send someone in a downward spiral, so too is the opposite true.
Just like you and many other people, I've experienced immense improvements in the quality of my life simply from choosing to regulate my sensory input.
When I fill my head with violent ideas by watching TV(I'm not meaning to bash the news, but it's a good example), the world outside becomes violent. I'll see more fights, car crashes, and injuries in 'real life' because my mind's loaded up with violent symbology and life, as per usual, crafts itself into the symbol of what the observer is thinking and feeling.
Conversely, filling my head with joyful images, gratitude, and love begets more of the same. Being grateful necessarily creates more situations in which I can feel grateful - the world immediately becomes more abundant and people more generous when you appreciate them.
Psychologists have told us forever that others can only love us as much as we love ourselves, and of course one can see how holding the idea of love in the heart and mind would thus result in more loving situations. This particular attribute of manifestation also explains the repeating tragedies or traumas that many people (myself experience) include in intimate relationships - when I subconsciously held onto the belief that I was inadequate, unworthy of love, and unattractive, I attracted situations which confirmed these 'beliefs' until I was certain that they were truths.
Now that I'm able to see myself as a deserving, confident, and lovable individual, my entire world has been flipped right-side up.
That's my world, though. We need the whole world - that is, the objective plane - to reflect this, and the only way that we can do this is by helping people to love themselves, love others, and see the light. Fighting against fear is just fighting against our own creation and just prolongs the years that we'll have to deal with it. Looking within, taking responsibility for the choices we've made in all of the lives we've lived (and even prior to those), forgiving yourself and moving forward are the only way that we'll be able to get back home - and we're all helping each other get there, so there's no point trying to leave without bringing all of our brothers and sisters with us.
