Flip the Script

[It's so cruel that there are government organizations withholding information about our true selves and history.]

I think the script needs to be flipped here - I had an uncomfortable realization in this regard, but one that struck me as obvious now that I've considered it.

Certainly there are institutions deluding the population, but I think for the most part people prefer it that way. The type of people who actually support the CIA, trust their governments wholeheartedly, or who rely on mainstream media as their primary source of information don't want to wake up.

So in that sense, these institutions are fulfilling a basic human desire shared by a good chunk of the population: the desire to remain sleeping. People are scared of their full potential and the responsibility that it entails, so it's easier for them to drown out the background whispering of their true selves with media, separation, and distractions.

People who are actually interested in waking up can discard all that shit without sacrificing their quality of life. It's (mostly) superfluous, and it only holds the power that it holds because people are giving away theirs. I give none of my power to the organizations trying to suppress my awakening.

The result is that the people following those organizations often think I'm a nut bar, but it allowed me to realize that they can't force us to believe anything.

The issue is that people don't know what to believe, but also that they're also not ready to accept the truth of what we really are. So the result is that we have these institutions trying to placate humanity's own existential dread by providing us with a tangible 'reason for being' (wake up, go to work, have a family, retire at the end, and enjoy 20 years before you die) that is just believable enough that it placates us so we stop asking deeper questions.

I believe that this is the perfect construct because it's also very easy to see through it and wake up if that's what you so choose.

The awakening is happening, though - one step at a time. More and more people are recognizing the fact that human nature is not best served in an office. And even if someone does want to avoid their awakening until they're lying on their death bed, I think we all figure it out in the end.

Releasing the Mind & Body

It usually hurts to release something. Getting rid of something - a habit, an emotional trait, a belief - almost always hurts because it feels like you're trading  something for nothing. No matter how healthy or unhealthy the behavior or habit is, be it an addiction or a tendency to smile when you see birds, releasing anything can be tough because, at least for a moment, you feel like you have less than you did before. One trades the sensation of fullness for the sensation of being empty. For this reason, many have a hard time 'letting go' of things like unhealthy relationships, addictions, or habitual behavior.
